How to Set up & Fix Load Board Connections

With Source, centralize your external tender opportunity pipelines—plug in boards, pull in emailed tenders, and open the door to more opportunities.

 

Getting Started

  • Look for Load Board Connections when searching external loads in the top-right corner.

  • Click to manage external sources—add, edit, or remove load board and shipper connections.

  • Expand your network to surface more opportunities.

  • First Login
    When you log in for the first time, you’ll just need to enter your name and phone number. Don’t worry—this is a one-time thing, and you won’t be asked again.


Setting Up Integrations

  • Add an Integration
    When you’re ready to add a new integration, the system will walk you through it step by step.

    • When you click "+ Integation" it will open a modal. Search for the load board that you want to connect to, there are over 100 ready to connect to.

    • If you do not see the load board you want, there is an email at the bottom of this modal. Send an email with the load board name, URL, and your login credentials. We will work to set this up for you.

    • Some integrations are super simple—just a username and password. Others may have a few extra steps, but the instructions in the pop-up modal will guide you all the way.


Connecting Your Email

  • Hook Up Your Email (Highly Recommended!)
    A lot of great loads come through email, so it’s important to connect yours. You’ve got two options:

    • Option A: Forward Emails
      Set up forwarding within your email client (Outlook, Gmail, etc) so that every email from a specific email address sends a copy to the manifold email address listed at the top of your page. Do this for all of your shipper contacts.

    • Option B: Direct Connection (New & Easier!)
      Connect your email address directly to Manifold. Any load that hits that inbox will automatically flow in—no forwarding rules needed.


Viewing Loads

  • See What’s Available
    You’ll be able to see how many active loads are available from each load board. Just note that you won’t be able to view the individual loads themselves.

    • Make sure to check "Show Email Integrations" at the top of the list to see which ones you have active opportunities with.


Troubleshooting

  • Load Board Status - Error
    If the status is red, then it is no longer working, which means loads from that source will not show when you are searching. Click "Fix" to walk through the set up again and resolve. Most often this happens because a password has changed and it needs to be updated.

  • Load Board Status - Disabled
    You can at any time disable a connection. This saves the connection but turns off the loads from showing when you search.

  • Load Board Status - Requested
    If you have requested a new load board connection that is not yet available, it will go into this status. Once its built you will be notified via email as well as this status will change to Running.

  • Load Board Status - Not Built
    Some load boards connections are not yet available. We will keep you posted if they become available.

  • Not Seeing the Right Loads?
    Some users tell us they only see loads from the big load boards—not from their shippers or emails. This is likely due to the higher volume pushing these data sources higher in the search result list. If that happens to you, here’s a quick fix:

    • Try disabling high volume boards for a bit.

    • Check to see if your shipper and email loads are coming through correctly when you search.

    • Once you’ve confirmed everything’s flowing, just switch the major boards back on.
