Manage Drivers that Need Sourcing

Here is a guide to prioritizing and reviewing source load requests for drivers:

Step 1: Select the Highest Priority Driver

  • In the Needs Sourcing tab under Dispatching, you’ll see a list of drivers with details of their sourcing needs.
  • Sort the list by the driver Available for Dispatch time to prioritize based on how soon the driver needs their next load.

Step 2: Review the Request Details

  • After selecting the prioritized driver, the Dispatch Match Details panel on the right side will display additional information.
  • Under Source Request Details, you’ll see:
    • The Requestor information.
    • Available for Dispatch at Time of Request, indicating when the driver will be ready for pickup.
    • Source Pick Up location and Driver's Estimated Pickup Time.
    • Source Drop off location and Driver's Estimated Drop Off Time.
      • This is an optional field. If it is blank then that means no specific destination has been decided.
  • Carefully review these details to confirm that the source load matches the driver’s availability and requirements.

Step 3: Search for a Load

  • Once you have reviewed and confirmed the details, click the Search for Load button at the bottom of the Dispatch Match Details panel.
  • This will automatically conduct a search for loads across your connected load boards based on the driver’s request and criteria, allowing you to find a suitable load to fulfill the source request.

Step 4: Set the Sourcing Status

  • Once you start bidding on loads for a driver, click the pencil icon on the request card, and select "Sourcing." This allows your team members to see that you are working on bidding and building the new load.

  • Then, when you have build the new load and have the Load ID from your TMS, click the pencil icon on the request card for the driver, and select "Ready." It will then provide a place to paste in the Load ID. This allows your team members to quickly grab that Load ID and assign it to the driver right within OD!

  • To assign this Load ID to this Driver:
    • Copy the Load ID
    • Click "Search for Load"
    • Go to Internal Search > Search Load ID > Paste in the Load ID
    • Select the load & assign
