Scope of Module
Tactical Procurement is located in the “Execute” solution. The intent of this module is to provide a visual representation of simulated loads that need to confirmed or procured in the future. The module shows loads that are committed to assets, loads that are available in the TMS but not yet committed, forecasted loads from primary shippers and forecasted loads from other shippers and/or loads needing to be sourced from external sources. Loads can be viewed from both inbound and outbound standpoints up to 14 days in the future.
Primary User Groups
Primary users of this module are anyone involved with sourcing and/or procuring loads, booking loads with customers, booking loads off of load boards or making other load procurement decisions. Some titles of users may include:

This module is intended to be used daily, multiple times per day and throughout the freight intake process. This module should be an integral part of the decision-making process surrounding which loads to accept into which network, and should be looking 4-7 days into the future - the forward-looking timeframe will vary by customer based on load profile. Goals
After completing the training session, users should have a general understanding of the specific module, a working knowledge on how to use and apply the feature, and a general understanding of the Optimal Dynamics terminology.
