Intro to Commitment Manager

Scope of Module

Commitment Manager is located in the “Execute” solution. The intent of this module is to capture and maintain existing customer commitments. These commitments enable our engine to make the most optimal recommendations for your network, while still meeting your customer requirements regarding load coverage. Commitment Manager overlays committed loads by count and by lane into your network. Commitment Manager supports the load acceptance process by ensuring you are taking the appropriate number of committed loads and fairly evaluating the network impact of any additional loads to make the most optimal network recommendations.


Primary User Groups

Primary users for this module are anyone responsible for adding, maintaining or sunsetting customer commitments. Some titles of users may include:

  • Sales

  • Business Development

  • Customer Service

  • Customer Success Success

  • Planner


Frequency

This module is intended to be used as-needed throughout the course of normal business. During high periods of customer procurement, the module may be used multiple times per day as new business is awarded or existing business is modified. And during times of low customer procurement, the module may not be used for several weeks. Goals

After completing the training session, users should have a general understanding of the specific module, a working knowledge on how to use and apply the feature, and a general understanding of the Optimal Dynamics terminology.
